Greatest Hits

Hey. So I've decided to put together a collection of some quotes and blog entries from this last chunk of the year, as they are quickly becoming archived. Let's stroll down the road of these last seven months together, shall we? (Things that I didn't write are noted accordingly....)

"So many of us limit our praying because we are not reckless in our confidence in God." (Oswald Chambers)

"Give me one hundred preachers who fear nothing but sin and desire nothing but God...such alone will shake the gates of hell and set up the kingdom of heaven on earth."
(John Wesley)

"It is a frightening thought that we can become so self-sufficient, so self-sustaining, that even in vanity and the things of our flesh, we are re-invigorated. We can muster up the zest and the zeal required for certain tasks, and actually begin to forget that our "righteousness" lacks the influence of God." (July 15th/04)

"In my ideal existence, I am a beautiful, Rapunzel-like girl who takes spontaneous trips to Mexico, learns how to play the drums, loves my neighbour as myself, eats sushi. I walk down to the ocean on hot, sticky days and allow the frothy surf to wash over my naked toes. I sing loudly in the car, with the windows wide open. I wear a lot of sundresses; I hold a lot of children; I drink a lot of iced mochas with extra whipped cream. Like a sunflower in its grassy field, standing tall and facing skyward, I exist in my natural state. I do not fear disparagement. I am." (September 12th/04)

"My righteousness is a filthy rag. But my humble King is all radiance and grace. Why does He do such beautiful things in secret? Why does He let me forget that He is saving me every day? I breathe in and out and I forget that He is my life. His Spirit moves through my faithless flesh. Beauty is in corruption. Treasure in a jar of clay." (November 13th/04)

I check MSN everynight
everynight I check
waiting for her to log on
waiting...

When shall we connect again
in the cyber world
or on the phone

I don't know
but this I know...

I miss her.
Come back to me nubers
Life is empty without you.
Good Times.
