I had a dream once that I had no money and yet was trying to buy ice cream for everyone I knew. I was too proud to let on that I was broke, and wouldn't allow anyone else to pay. You know what happens when you insist on giving out that which you cannot even afford to purchase? No one gets ice cream. It's just a big, fat bust. The whole "Come and buy" principle is only relevant when we are seeking the Source; let us beg from Jesus before we claim to have something to give. It is not doing anyone any favours when we parade around, masquerading as some counterfeit Good Humour man. The good stuff can only come from the feast of heaven, and I would rather sit as a begger at the feet of Jesus than offer something I cannot afford to give out of my own poverty.

Jules,
You just provided me with the perfect illustration for my talk on Sunday about intimacy with Jesus being the building block of ministry. Giving out of the overflow of the spirit rather than out of empty appearances, rending our hearts and not our garments etc. Hope your dreams are not copyrighted! Lots of love.

How awesome is that Jules!!! inspiring your brother,,and others to recognize Jesus is our source, and our riches are plenty when it is our selves invested in HIM ....even better filling up on Him than icecream...and treating others to seeing and tasting the GLORY OF GOD in the little things too... I love you.

Sometimes these anonymous posters are just downright sappy. I welcome the sentiment, but the whole publicness of it all makes me feel like I am being dropped off at jr. high all over again.... Awkward!
